2022 Annual Meeting

PPSCC’s member community gathered in November via Zoom for the annual meeting, awards presentation for the Annual Members Open Online Exhibition, and a demo by Christine Bodnar. President Dave Kaphammer kicked off the meeting with a heartfelt “thank you” to the members and volunteer board for a banner year.

Dave cited many 2022 accomplishments including workshops led by renowned national artists, a solid financial position, the designation of five new signature members, and the establishment of an Emerging Artist category for this year’s Member Exhibition. He also lauded the hard work of volunteers who have already signed up a roster of fantastic instructors for 2023 workshops!

PPSCC is especially grateful to Jakki Kouffman, the Juror of Awards for the 2022 Members Open Exhibition, and to Christine Bodnar, for an inspirational demo on simplifying the landscape. Some 40 minutes after Christine made her first mark, she received a virtual round of applause for her simplified shapes, value contrasts, and subtle colors. Christine’s demo can be viewed below (due to a technical glitch, the beginning of the demo was not recorded).
